50 MW Solar Power Project at Benban Solar Park

The 50 MW solar power project, located at Benban Solar Park, approximately 40 km north of Aswan, stands as a major step toward Egypt’s renewable energy transition. This large-scale project is designed to harness solar energy efficiently, contributing significantly to the country’s clean energy production.
With a total capacity of 64.1 MW, the project features 194,300 solar panels spread across an expansive 267-acre site. This advanced solar installation generates approximately 152,000 MWh annually, providing sufficient electricity to power around 69,000 homes per year.
This initiative highlights the increasing role of solar energy in Egypt’s energy sector, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and supporting national sustainability goals. By leveraging cutting-edge solar technology, the project contributes to a greener and more energy-secure future.
